How the integration works
Secure OAuth Authentication
Connect your Ring account through Ring's own OAuth flow. Your Ring credentials are never shared with PropertyVue. Tokens are encrypted at rest and automatically refreshed every 3 hours.
Automatic Device Discovery
Once connected, PropertyVue queries the Ring API to discover every camera, doorbell, and security device across all your Ring Locations. No manual setup required.
Real-Time Webhook Events
Ring sends camera events (motion, person detection, doorbell presses, vehicle alerts) to PropertyVue in real time via HMAC-verified webhooks. Events appear in your dashboard instantly.
Automatic Token Refresh
Ring OAuth tokens expire every 4 hours. PropertyVue runs a background cron job every 3 hours to refresh tokens before they expire, so your monitoring never goes offline.
Enterprise-grade security for your camera data
Your Ring camera data is sensitive. PropertyVue treats it that way. Every layer of the integration is designed with security as the primary concern — not an afterthought.
